“Come go with me”, choreographed by Kayla Schiltgen, was selected for the 2019 Choreographer’s Evening at the Walker Art Center. The evening was curated by Supergroup from a competitive pool of 80+ auditioned entries by Minnesota choreographers. The piece was also performed at Dances at the Lakewalk, Duluth, MN and selected and performed for Dances at the Lake Festival, Minneapolis, MN.

Performer, Choreographer - Enkindle Dance Theater

2019, Sacred Heart Music Center, Duluth, MN
Enkindle Dance Theatre is a non-profit modern & contemporary dance company based in Duluth MN. The twenty member company is led by Jordann Abbe and Ricardo Suarez, whose mission to bring a diverse group of dancers together to perform original dance works. Performed in ensemble and choreographed and performed solo “Sleepwalking”.

”The most mesmerizing piece was “Sleepwalking,” performed and choreographed by Naomi Christenson. The piece had my attention from the moment the lights came up. Dressed in slightly over-sized trousers and suspenders, Christenson danced with elegant rhythmic awareness. Her willowy arms had a curved softness to them while still moving through angular symmetries. She had a mathematical precision to her dancing while still maintaining artistry.” - Kelly Sue Coyle, Duluth News Tribune

This community show brings together dancers of various disciplines, experience levels and backgrounds. It’s performed annually in July, in a park overlooking beautiful Lake Superior.
