Using imagery from octopus tentacles, I played with the patterns in deep blues and purples to create this painting. The “Starfish” names comes from the cluster shape of the tentacles creating a star shape.

This piece is part of a series of work I painted that celebrates the natural patterns of octopi. I played with making new compositions from elements of pattern in the animal and bold colors.

The original piece is acrylic paint on board, this item is a print of that original painting.
