The side of my house is covered in Virginia Creeper, an ivy that creates layers of beautiful leaves. In the fall, they turn to purples, reds, oranges and pinks. This painting is part of my “Autumn’s Glory” collection that celebrates both the natural patters of the leaves layered on top of one another and the colors of fall.

In this piece, the leaves all together create a lush “curtain” of color. There are layers of leaves upon leaves cascading all the way down the canvas. The colors are vibrant making the delicate patterns of veins in the leaves feel electric. The edges of the canvas are painted the same marble of rich raspberry and orange from the background of the painting.
